Guys night out question....

If you're in a committed relationship without kids, how many times per month would be acceptable for the guy to go out with just the guys?

Neo Nabe in Makiki

Went to check this some friends and it was pretty good! It's almost like a mix between nabe and shabu shabu. The broth was very tasty and you can choose your broth type, as well as the ingredients. The restaurant was a little small so it'll get kinda crowded as word gets out. Good idea going after the late night crowd though. They're going to have live music on certain nights as well. Here's their coupon in the Honolulu Advertiser Sunday Dining out section:

Neo Nabe, located on South King Street in the same parking lot asAnyplace Cocktail Lounge, is a new twist on shabu shabu. Food is cooked in a pot tableside, with different broths used for flavor and to put a twist on the traditional idea of Japanese nabemono.

The best part about Neo Nabe is its hours -- from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and until 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. You can thankRyan Chang andBlaise Sato, two local promoters who teamed withMoses Gomez andJace Kanemoto to open the restaurant.

The guys wanted to provide a spot for their friends to eat late at night, with healthier options than hamburgers or fried breakfast items. Judging by the crowds during last weekend's soft opening, they've definitely found their niche ...

Coffee Bean and Tea in Kailua

After taking my dog to the beach in Kailua, went to check out Gee Why's hangout - Coffee Bean and Tea. Not too bad. Got an Americano iced coffee. A bit too strong since they use expresso shots but it was OK. Got a card for an hour's worth of wireless Internet access. They don't have an expiration date so you can get em and use em later. Here's mine if anyone wants to use it....

The real cosmic force of karma

By Paul Asay

You can fool all of the people some of the time. You can fool some of the people all of the time.

But you can't fool karma.

Karma, according to many Eastern religions, is the ultimate in objective justice — the innately moral music to which our universe twirls. Karma dictates that, sooner or later, we reap what we sow.
