Nico's Pier 38

Went to check out Nico's at Pier 38 yesterday. I had the cheeseburger which I thought wasn't too bad. Didn't have crinkle fries but their fries were pretty good. Tasted the Furikake Pan Seared Ahi w/ Ginger Garlic Cilantro Sauce - $8.15 and it was excellent. I would suggest getting that plate for sure. Make sure to either early at around 11am or later at around 130pm because it gets really crowded. If you go later though, some of the specials may run out.

Rihanna, Something Don't Look Right

As a proclaimed expert, here's a question for Wayne's World.

Rihanna, real or fake?

While I like her music and own several of her hits, there's just something wrong going on in this picture.

Stephen Covey's 90/10 Principle

I thought this was pretty interesting....

The 90/10 Principle

Author : Stephen Covey
Have you read this before?
Discover the 90/10 Principle.
It will change your life
(at least the way you react to situations).
What is this principle?
10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.
What does this mean?
We really have no control over 10%
of what happens to us.
We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving,
which throws our whole schedule off.
A driver may cut us off in traffic.
We have no control over this 10%.
The other 90% is different.
You determine the other 90%.
How? By your reaction.
You cannot control a red light,
but you can control your reaction.
Don't let people fool you;
YOU can control how you react.

Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. There never seem to be a success in life. Bad days follow bad days. Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. There is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships. Worry consumes time. Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the fullest. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel. Does this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged You can be different! Understand and apply the 90/10 principle. It will change your life.

Laugh Like U Have Never Ever Cried
Love Like U Have Never Been Hurt
Live Like There Is No Tomorrow.

Long's Drugs in Liliha - building starts Jan 2007

Do we really need a Long's Drugs there? There's one by Pali already. But they probably will still do good because there's alot of older people in that area which would go shopping there. How about a Starbucks??? Not that we don't already have enough of those on the island but there isn't one close to that area. The closest ones are in downtown but they are only open during weekdays.

Went to check out the UFC fight at Blaisdell

First time I've ever been to one of these. We had really good seats. Only about 6 rows or so from the ring. Tickets were $75. It was pretty entertaining. Even got to see some bonus action as I was leaving the bathroom where had a quick little scrap there. It's bound to happen at these type of events with alcohol. For the main event, the first round was pretty boring with Lawler mostly avoiding Miller and barely throwing any kicks or punches. Maybe his strategy was to frustrate him till he made a mistake. Round 2 was much more interesting as Lawler was able to get some licks in and had him on the ground for most of the round. He failed to capitalize though and Miller was able to take the blows and escape the round. Round three was all Miller as he was able to choke him out in the middle of the round. I think Lawler gave all he had in round 2. The crowd was definitely pro Miller.
